So excited to be home (Philly) for the holidays. While doing some last minute shopping with my mom, we see the Shameless Season 2 DVD, which was just released a few days ago. I shot the “Parenthood” episode, but eventually the scene was cut due to the length of the episode. I remember going through this process before with The Shield, debating on taking a risk, spend the money just to see if my 5 second scene was worthy enough to be on the deleted scenes. After a lot of back and forth, my mom convinces me to get the DVD set.
Many shopping hours later, I slowly open the DVD set. Not sure why I’m opening it slowly. It won’t change the fact that if the scene is on there or not. After looking on the wrong disc feeling disappointed, my world instantly filled with joy when I saw my face with the awesome William H. Macy on the screen. You would have thought I just won the lottery. Yes, it’s only a 5 second scene and I didn’t have any speaking lines, but, for me, this is progress in my journey and there is nothing better than having evidence of how awesome you are.
