You hear constantly it’s all about the relationships. A friend and award winning playwright, Oliver Mayer, recommended me for a USC student film with an Emmy Award Nominated Producer. Um, how cool is that? I don’t mind the audition process, actually, I love it, but any actor might tell you getting straight offers for roles rocks!
I was excited to bring this character to life as the film is based on a true story of minority women from North Carolina in the 60’s and how doctors sterilized them, without their knowledge, to control the minority population. Such an amazing and emotional role to play. I felt honored to bring a voice to these untold stories.
